This site exists to welcome new families and keep pack families informed — never at the expense of kids' safety or privacy. Here's exactly how we handle it, in plain language.
What we publish — and what we never do
- No full names of scouts. Kids are never identified by full name anywhere on the public site. When a first name genuinely helps (say, a Pinewood Derby results page someday), it's first names at most — and only behind decisions the pack committee has made.
- No photos of kids without a signed release. Until a family has signed a photo release, no identifiable photo of their scout appears anywhere on this site. Photos we do publish are approved by pack leadership first, are never tagged with names, and have location data stripped.
- General locations only. The public calendar lists pack-level events at general locations (like our regular meeting spot, which is already public on Scouting America's own site). Details that would tell a stranger exactly where specific children will be are shared through den channels, not this website.
- No personal contact info. Leaders are reachable through role addresses (like cubmaster@pack3291.org, all listed on the contact page) — never personal emails or phone numbers.
What this site collects
Nothing. There are no ads, no analytics trackers, no cookies, no user accounts — and no forms. Contacting the pack is ordinary email from your own mail app to the role addresses on the contact page; the website itself never sees it.
Want something removed?
If anything on this site concerns you — a photo, a name, a detail — email webmaster@pack3291.org or cubmaster@pack3291.org and we'll take it down promptly, no questions asked. Choosing not to sign a photo release never affects a scout's participation in anything.
