What we publish, and what we never do

• No full names of scouts on the public site. Inside the members area, the current roster stores a legal first name, an optional preferred first name, and den so families and leaders can recognize the right scout while using the name that scout goes by. Pack administrators maintain those records; families can review them in My Family and request a correction.
• No photos of kids without a signed release. Until a family has signed a photo release, no identifiable photo of their scout appears anywhere on this site. Photos we do publish are approved by pack leadership first, are never tagged with names, and have location data stripped.
• General locations only, publicly. The public calendar lists pack-level events at general locations (like our regular meeting spot, which is already public on Scouting America's own site). Details that would tell a stranger exactly where specific children will be (den meetings, den campouts) live behind the family login, never on the public site.
• No personal contact info on the public site. Anywhere a stranger can browse, leaders are reachable only through pack-owned role addresses listed on the leaders and contact pages, never personal emails or phone numbers. Inside the members area, behind the family login, the pack directory shows an adult's own email or phone only when that adult chose to share it, and they can remove it anytime.

What this site collects

Very little, and nothing sneaky. There are no ads and no analytics trackers. Contacting the pack is ordinary email from your own mail app to a role address on the leaders or contact page; the website never sees it. For the members area, the site stores adult account names, email addresses, and optional phone numbers so registered families can sign in and pack administrators can maintain the roster. A single essential cookie keeps an adult signed in. It does no tracking, and deactivating an adult or family ends their access immediately. Signed-in adults may separately opt into the members-only directory, which shares their name, sign-in email, optional chosen contact value, family scouts' display first names and dens, and whether the adult is a pack leader only with other signed-in adults. They can opt out anytime. The current scout record contains a legal first name, optional preferred first name, and den. If the pack later needs another scout field, this notice will be updated before that information is collected.

For adults serving as leaders, administrators may keep a small readiness snapshot: position, pack or den assignment, Key 3 status, registration and Youth Protection expiration dates, position-training status, and the date that status was checked. This is an admin-only convenience view. My.Scouting and council records remain the official source.

If anything on this site concerns you (a photo, a name, a detail), email webmaster@pack3291.org or cubmaster@pack3291.org and we'll take it down promptly, no questions asked. Choosing not to sign a photo release never affects a scout's participation in anything.
